“Acknowledge your and others’ range of linguistic differences as resources, and draw on those resources to develop rhetorical sensibility”
As engineers we have many responsibilities such as creating accurate project specifications, writing technical papers and lab reports and calculating estimates and budgets. However, being able to collaborate and communicate efficiently with others is at the foremost of our responsibilities. Achieving this course learning outcome was important important in letting us gain experience on how to work with others in the engineering field we weren’t familiar with. Over the course many of the assignments assigned to us were done in groups. We were tasked with working with others in different concentrations/fields which led to a team being able to split work into sections that each member were responsible for. The figure below shows a table that was made to split one of the assignment based on what everyone was best suited for.

We worked with different groups this semester as groups were switched when starting to work on the engineering proposal project, although I was a new addition to our group at the time of the project, the transition was smooth as the group discussed what our majors were and split work that suited the individuals ability. To efficiently complete the assignments, we used different documents that planned out what assignments each team member were responsible for based on everyone’s abilities.
